Liverpool's England contingent crossed paths with royalty on Friday evening, when Prince William visited the dressing room following a 3-0 friendly victory over Peru at Wembley.

Daniel Sturridge - one of five Reds players to be selected in the Three Lions' squad for the World Cup this summer - punted a brilliant opener from distance to kick-start the win.

Club colleagues Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson and Glen Johnson each started the warm-up encounter, while Raheem Sterling was introduced as a substitute in the second half.

The group departs for Miami on Sunday to continue their preparations for the tournament in Brazil, which begins on June 12, and they travel with words of encouragement from the Duke of Cambridge.
