Full-backs Phil Neal and Alan Kennedy each left indelible marks as Liverpool completed a unique treble and secured their fourth European Cup triumph 30 years ago today.

The former notched a vital goal in normal time against AS Roma in the 1984 final, while his teammate emulated his feat of three years earlier by firing the penalty shoot-out winner at the Stadio Olimpico.

Three decades on, the duo met to evoke their personal memories of how the drama unfolded in Italy, allowing a series of images from the occasion to inspire recollections of an historic evening.
