Five Liverpool players have today been named in Roy Hodgson's 23-man England squad for this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

Five days later, Luis Suarez and Uruguay will present the next obstacle, before Hodgson's team complete their group-stage campaign by facing Costa Rica.

The World Cup gets underway on Thursday, June 12, when the hosts take on Croatia. The final will be held at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, July 13.
