Liverpool Football Club is asking fans to arrive early at Anfield for Sunday's match against Newcastle United, which will kick off at 3pm BST.

The club is also reminding fans to be aware of counterfeit tickets; with demand for match tickets extremely high, fans should be extra vigilant with tickets and only buy from authorised selling points. Please do not accept any ticket from a non-authorised seller.

The turnstiles at Anfield are electronic to ensure a safer entry for fans and therefore any unofficial or counterfeit tickets will be rejected automatically and won't be allowed entry to the ground. All tickets purchased are ultimately the responsibility of the supporter whose name is on the ticket.

Any breach of regulations may be subject to further investigation that could ultimately result in the club pursuing a ban for each person involved for future Liverpool games.

The club would also like to remind fans that the use of smoke bombs, pyrotechnics or anything similar is illegal and that any individual who is found taking these items to Anfield or any other stadium may face prosecution and a banning order. The use of such devices breaches ground safety regulations and poses serious risk of injury to fellow fans.
