Fabio Borini was on target to help Sunderland secure their Barclays Premier League status with a 2-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday night.

The Italian, on loan from Liverpool, netted with a neat volley to add to Jack Colback's opener at the Stadium of Light.

It was Borini's ninth goal of the season, and the result means the Black Cats moved five points clear of the relegation zone and will be playing top-flight football next term.
