Fans select Sterling for April award
Raheem Sterling's commanding displays throughout April, which included three strikes for Liverpool, have been rewarded with the FTBpro PFA Fan Player of the Month award.
The No.31 converted a sublime finish to kick-start the Reds' 3-2 win over Manchester City, fooling both defender and goalkeeper with a shimmy before side-footing home in front of the Kop.
Sterling then turned in a Man of the Match performance at Norwich City, powering home from long range in the opening minutes and adding a game-deciding effort during the second half.
The Englishman's all-round contribution helped Brendan Rodgers' side claim maximum points from three out of four fixtures in the month as they continue to battle at the Barclays Premier League summit.
