Stevie: The shirt fills me with pride
As Liverpool Football Club unveiled their brand new 2014-15 Warrior home kit, Reds captain Steven Gerrard has revealed his endless sense of pride whenever he pulls on the strip.
At a special event in Liverpool city centre on Thursday evening, the Reds' kit for the next campaign was proudly shown off for the very first time by Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson, Simon Mignolet and Kolo Toure.
Taking inspiration from the famous all-red strip implemented by Bill Shankly midway through the 1960s, the new kit boasts War-Tech, Warrior's signature apparel technology system.
The new strip was hailed by Liverpool's talismanic No.8 upon release, with the skipper labelling the latest edition as a 'classic'.
"I have a great sense of pride every time I pull on a Liverpool shirt," Gerrard said.
"This shirt feels like a Liverpool classic and helps me remember the greats who played before us."
