'Quick-fire Reds are the team to watch'
Liverpool's commitment to bursting out of the blocks in every fixture has made the Reds the most entertaining team to watch in the Barclays Premier League, according to Jan Molby.
Brendan Rodgers' side have fired 48 first-half goals this season - more than all but three rivals in the division have achieved across the 90 minutes in total during 2013-14.
Daniel Sturridge, Luis Suarez and co have racked up an incredible 76 strikes throughout the campaign to date, with the aforementioned duo topping the individual charts.
Naturally, ex-midfielder Molby has been thrilled by the performances put in by his old club. "A lot of things Liverpool do are deliberate," the Dane commented in his Liverpool Echo column.
"The fact Liverpool score more goals in the first half than the second is the result of very clever thinking from Brendan Rodgers.
"Liverpool have scored more first-half goals this season than 16 other teams in the league have in total. For me, they are the team to watch in the Premier League.
"Getting the game won as quickly as possible is a wonderful mentality to have. It may roll over into the second now and then, but most of the time it's won in the first.
"There's nothing better than going to play in the second half when you're already 3-0 up and then by the 70th minute, instead of chasing the ball, you can be calm."
Like most supporters, the man nicknamed 'the Great Dane' has been particularly enthralled by the virtuoso displays of Suarez, who has struck 25 times and assisted a further 10.
"And that's in no small part down to the Premier League's top goalscorer Luis Suarez," Molby continued.
"Suarez is playing the best football of his career and when you've got someone doing that, you ask yourself why? It's because he's a team player, he's working hard and he's enjoying his football at Liverpool."
