Liverpool's outstanding 3-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday has been selected as the Performance of the Week by the League Managers Association's five-man panel.

A Steven Gerrard double from the penalty spot and a late Luis Suarez strike ensured the Reds departed Old Trafford victorious for the first time in five years and reclaimed second place in the division.

The display has been acknowledged by the LMA panel, which is comprised of chairman Howard Wilkinson, former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry.

This is the third time in 2013-14 that Liverpool have claimed the award and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers will receive a specially engraved crystal football to mark the achievement.
