Liverpool Ladies are delighted to announce the arrival of American international goalkeeper, Libby Stout.

The Women's Super League Champions have landed the signature of the 23 year-old from BV Cloppenburg in Germany.

The move further strengthens the Ladies team, who have already added two exciting acquisitions in Martha Harris from Notts County Ladies and Gemma Davison from Arsenal Ladies.

Libby is a commanding and athletic goalkeeper who has also played for Femin Yzeure Allier Auvergne (FFY AA) in France as well as representing USA U23 team.

During Libby's spell in France, she competed against European giants such as Olympique Lyon and Paris St Germain in Le Championnat, which will help Liverpool Ladies in their first season in the Champions League.

Matt Beard's side are currently preparing for the upcoming WSL and Champions League campaigns having lifted the league trophy for the first time in the club's history in 2013.

Speaking of her move to Liverpool, Libby said: "I have had the desire to be a professional footballer since the age of nine and the one place I have always wanted to play is England.

"I am very excited about this move and I can't wait to move to Liverpool. I've heard great things about the city and I'm looking forward to playing for one of the greatest clubs in world football.

"This is a great step for me in my career and Liverpool is one of the best places in the world.

"To represent Liverpool Ladies is a dream come true, and I believe my ability will shine in the WSL and Champions League. I hope that my experience, leadership and determination to succeed will only benefit the team as we strive to build on last season's success."

Liverpool Ladies manager, Beard said: "This is a really exciting signing for Liverpool Ladies as we look to continue improving the squad ahead of the new season which I believe will be the most competitive season ever and it is vital we continue to strengthen the team in order to defend our title."
