Liverpool Football Club today offered their condolences to everyone affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

The tropical storm struck on November 8, bringing winds of over 195mph and torrential rain, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

It's estimated more than 10,000 were killed by the disaster, with in excess of 600,000 displaced and 9.8 million people now requiring urgent aid.

Liverpool FC are backing the Disasters Emergency Committee's appeal to raise funds for those in need of food, clean water and shelter.

If you'd like to donate to the DEC campaign, you can do so by visiting their official website.
