Liverpool Ladies star Amanda Da Costa has extended her contract with the club until 2015.

The midfielder played a pivotal role as Matt Beard's side won an historic Women's Super League title in her first season with the Reds.

Da Costa will be a key performer as Beard's charges compete in the Women's Champions League in 2014 as well as starting their title defence.

"I am looking forward for the 2014 season with the Liverpool Ladies as we begin to defend our title," Da Costa told Liverpoolfc.com.

"The club has made tremendous strides this past season and we are all hoping to continue to improve both on and off the pitch.

"I am excited for what the future holds for the club and am ready to get back to Liverpool."
