Victor Moses was in action for Nigeria as they took a step towards World Cup qualification with a dramatic 2-1 win over Ethiopia on Sunday afternoon.

The Liverpool forward played 66 minutes at the Addis Ababa Stadium as Stephen Keshi's side came from behind to win the first leg of their qualifying play-off.

Moses was replaced by Brown Ideye with the Super Eagles trailing to a 56th minute Behailu Assefa strike and moments later, Fenerbahce's Emmanuel Emenike bagged an equaliser.

Emenike was then on hand to convert a stoppage-time penalty and seal victory for the reigning Africa Cup of Nations champions.

Nigeria, who went unbeaten in the group stage of World Cup qualifying, will host Ethiopia in the return leg on November 16, where a result would see them secure a berth at next year's tournament in Brazil.
