It was a bad day at the office for Liverpool U18s as they were beaten 5-0 by West Ham at Little Heath on Saturday.

The Hammers took the lead on eight minutes when Kieran Bywater curled home the opener in the Barclays U18 Premier League clash.

Ryan Kent was unlucky not to level the scores when his thunderous effort rattled the crossbar before Jordan Brown doubled the home side's advantage on 43 minutes and Reece Burke added a third moments later.

Bywater and Brown then both netted in the second half to seal the rout over Neil Critchley's young charges.

The Reds will now look to pick themselves up in time for the visit of Fulham to the Kirkby Academy on Wednesday, October 2.
