Victor Moses claims a victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford this evening would be among the best feelings he could ever experience as a professional footballer.

The on-loan Chelsea forward has played twice for the Reds since joining the club at the beginning of the month, notching an impressive solo effort on his debut appearance.

Moses was in the Anfield stands when Liverpool downed last season's Barclays Premier League champions 1-0 on September 1, with Daniel Sturridge scoring the winner.

Now the Nigerian international is greatly anticipating the latest chapter of a 'massive rivalry' and is targeting a momentous performance in the Capital One Cup encounter.

He told Sky Sports: "It is a massive rivalry between two great sides.

"We are looking forward to it at the same time. It is not going to be an easy game for us but we will do our best to make sure we get the win.

"Whenever United play Liverpool, it is always a massive game which anyone in the world would like to watch.

"Now I am a Liverpool player, you have to look forward to it and hopefully we can win the game.

"It is always a good feeling to go out at Old Trafford and win games. But it is not easy to go there and win any game.

"United have a great record at Old Trafford. If we can go there and beat them, it would be one of the best feelings in any footballer's career."

In addition to making an impression with his new team, Moses has one eye on next summer's World Cup - with Nigeria through to a final play-off against Ethiopia.

The 22-year-old said: "We are doing great at the moment. We are still unbeaten and want to keep the momentum.

"We have got the play-offs coming up. If we can beat Ethiopia home and away, that would be a great achievement for us.

"I have never played in a World Cup before so if we qualify for next year, especially with it being in Brazil, it would be a dream come true."
