Martin Skrtel returned from injury and produced an imperious performance against Manchester United on Sunday – so the Slovakian was a natural choice for the latest edition of LFCCTV.

The 28-year-old replaced the injured Kolo Toure for the visit of the reigning champions and played an integral role in ensuring Brendan Rodgers' team kept a crucial clean sheet.

Alongside Daniel Agger in central defence, Skrtel kept the likes of Robin van Persie, Danny Welbeck and Ashley Young at bay to maintain Liverpool's 100 per cent start to the season.
