Liverpool Football Club has appointed Angela Roberts as the new general manager of Liverpool Ladies.

Angela brings a wealth of experience to the club's ladies team having worked in an international role at the Football Association of Wales for the ladies' U19s and the senior team.

Liverpool Ladies currently sit top of the FA Women's Super League with just two games remaining, and are next in action on Thursday when they take on Everton in the Merseyside derby at the Halton Stadium, at 7.30pm BST.

With manager Matt Beard in charge of the team, Angela will continue to develop the team off the pitch to ensure the professional day-to-day management of the team.

Speaking of her move to Liverpool, Angela said: "I'm excited to join the Liverpool Ladies team at a time when women's football is developing and the club is making great improvements on and off the pitch.

"My aim is to ensure that the players, manager and staff only have to focus on the football to continue our great progress and I can ensure everything else runs smoothly."

Angela is from Llanystumdwy, a small village in North Wales, and will be relocating to Liverpool.
