How Toure kept Benteke quiet
Kolo Toure earned the official LFC Man of the Match accolade following our @LFC Twitter poll on Saturday - and Opta stats illustrate why.
Squaring up directly to the in-form Christian Benteke for most of the game, Toure won 75 per cent of his duels and 66.7 per cent of his aerial duels. Benteke's corresponding stats were 35.3 per cent and 41.7 per cent.
Toure and his defensive colleagues restricted the Belgian to just 37 touches and three shots.
Meanwhile, our summer signing also had the best passing accuracy on the field.
