LFC confirm Cissokho signing

The 25-year-old passed a medical at Melwood before putting pen to paper on a deal that will see him spend the 2013-14 campaign with the Reds.

He becomes Brendan Rodgers' fifth summer signing, following in the footsteps of Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto, Simon Mignolet and Kolo Toure.

And after clinching his new deal, Cissokho told Liverpoolfc.com: "I'm very happy to be here. I think we have a great team and great fans and together we can achieve big things.

"It's going to be a great experience to be able to rub shoulders with the club's top-quality players. I have experience in the game, but coming here there will still be lots of things to learn and discover as I work with everyone every day.

"I can learn from my new manager, get to know the new style of play here, familiarise myself with different opposition teams and learn the language. It's going to be a great experience for me, and of course playing for the club for the first time is something I'm excited about."

The Frenchman boasts a proven pedigree at the highest level of European football, having played in the Champions League for Porto, Lyon and Valencia.

Cissokho, who began his senior career with FC Gueugnon, got his first experience of playing at Anfield when he represented Lyon in their 2-1 victory over Liverpool in October 2009.

He has one cap for France.

Liverpool a conclu la signature en prêt de Cissokho

Liverpool Football Club a aujourd'hui conclu la signature du défenseur Aly Cissokho en prêt pour une saison en provenance de Valence, après la fin des démarches administratives.

Le joueur de 25 ans a passé une visite médicale à Melwood avant de signer son contrat qui le verra passer la saison 2013-14 avec les Reds.

Il est la cinquième signature de l'été de Brendan Rodgers, suivant les pas d'Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto, Simon Mignolet et Kolo Toure.

Après avoir signé son contrat, Cissokho a dit à Liverpoolfc.com: "Je suis très heureux d'être ici. Je pense que nous avons une grande équipe et de super fans. Et, ensemble, nous pouvons réaliser de grandes choses. 

"Cela va être une grande expérience de pouvoir côtoyer les meilleur joueur de ce club. J'ai l'expérience du jeu, mais il y aura aussi beaucoup de choses à apprendre et à découvrir lorsque je travaillerai tous les jours avec tout le monde.

"Je peux apprendre de mon nouveau manager, connaître un nouveau style de jeu ici, me familiariser avec différentes équipes adverses et apprendre la langue. Cela va être une grande expérience pour moi et, bien sûr, jouer mon premier match avec le club est quelque chose pour lequel je suis impatient et excité."

Le Français a eu une carrière au plus haut niveau du football européen, jouant la Champions League avec Porto, Lyon et Valence. 

Cissokho, qui a débuté sa carrière professionnelle avec le FC Gueugnon, a joué une première fois à Anfield, avec Lyon, lors de leur victoire 2-1 sur Liverpool en octobre 2009. 

Il a une sélection avec l'équipe de France.
