There was disappointment for Pepe Reina on Sunday night after Spain were left stunned by a 3-0 defeat to Brazil in the Confederations Cup final.

The Liverpool goalkeeper watched on from the substitutes' bench as the hosts produced a scintillating performance at the iconic Maracana stadium to clinch the trophy and end La Furia Roja's 29-match unbeaten run.

Fred put Brazil ahead inside two minutes before Neymar doubled their advantage with a rasping drive just before half-time.

The home side made it three with Fred's second moments after the break and Spain's misery was compounded as Sergio Ramos missed a penalty and Gerard Pique was sent off.
