The Liverpool FC Foundation donated official Reds kit to a charity football tournament held in Iran earlier this month.

Organised by Iranian football legend Mehdi Mahdavikia, the event saw 300 local youngsters come together at the FC Kia Academy in Tehran in aid of the victims of the region’s recent devastating earthquake.

Professional teams from across England and Germany – including Fulham, Crystal Palace, Bayern Munich and Hamburg – each donated kit to an individual junior side, who then competed in that club’s colours throughout the tournament.

Each year, LFC and the LFC Foundation donate unused or surplus kit to charitable causes across the world.
