LFC’s Red Neighbours team joined the League of Welldoers at Anfield this week to provide an afternoon of fun for local older residents.

Organised alongside the charity Helping Hand, the special event aimed to encourage social interaction among the older residents of north Liverpool and saw over 230 locals enjoy cabaret acts, dancing, a tasty lunch and photo opportunities with the European Cup.

The League of Welldoers, Liverpool’s oldest independent charity, works across the Anfield area to tackle social isolation and food poverty, mirroring two of the key focus areas of the Red Neighbours programme.
