Simon Mignolet joined more than 70 pensioners for Red Neighbours' Monday Club at Anfield today.

The club sees a group of over 50s meet on a monthly basis at the Liverpool FC stadium to help with social isolation.

Guests - on this occasion including Reds goalkeeper Mignolet - can enjoy a cup of tea and slice of cake as well as participate in fun activities such as bingo and a raffle.

Today's meeting was the first Monday Club of the season at Anfield.

Support for the elderly community is one of the four key areas of focus for Red Neighbours, which also include food poverty and education, encouraging a physically active community, and creating memorable experiences for young people.
