For Paul Curtis, the chance to write his family’s name – quite literally – into Anfield history was just too good to pass up.

The lifelong Liverpool fan, 35, has ensured he and his loved ones will always be part of the fabric of the club after reserving a place in the Anfield Forever walkway outside the newly redeveloped Main Stand.

Paul, his wife Nikki, sons Isaac, Keone and Alfie, mother Val and father Derek, and grandfather Bob Jameson will all be able to spot their names on engraved stones when they take the familiar walk up to the famous old stadium.

Grandparents who have sadly passed – Jean Jameson and Jim and Irene Curtis – will also be immortalised in granite when the walkway is laid.

Paul, a regular Anfield attendee, says the stones will be a source of great pride for both him and his family whenever they head to L4 to watch their team.

“I bought the stones because we are all Liverpool fans, and the family all come from Liverpool,” he said.

“The chance to have everyone's name at Anfield, as well as a place to remember Jean, Irene and Jim, was a great opportunity that I didn't want to miss.

“Having our names at Anfield all together is amazing, it means the world to me and I can't wait to take my family to see them - especially my grandad as he doesn't know yet!

“In the end, it's just about being part of my local club which was passed down to me from my dad and grandad and I have passed that to my sons.”

Don’t miss your chance to become part of LFC fabric by purchasing your own personalised stone.

A place in the Anfield Forever walkway is the ideal Christmas gift for a fellow Red and you can even send an e-voucher so that the recipient can choose their own message.
