Students at Liverpool FC Foundation College were rewarded for their academic success with a trip to Melwood training ground last month.

After a behind-the-scenes tour of the state-of-the-art facility, the students then met the first-team squad. Players stopped for a brief chat, posed for pictures and signed autographs for the college youngsters.

The students then looked on as Jürgen Klopp and his coaching staff put the squad through their paces on the training field.

Tempany Carlson, who is completing her BTEC Sport Level 3 extended diploma, said: "The players were really friendly and it was great to meet the manager, Jürgen Klopp. To be able to watch the team train was just fantastic!"

Andrea Cooper, head of the Liverpool FC Foundation, said: “It is important that students are rewarded for all their hard work throughout the academic year. The LFC Foundation College does a fantastic job in supporting and motivating students to succeed in further education.”

Any Year 11 school leavers or current Year 12 students who would like to join the Liverpool FC Foundation College in September 2016 should contact head office on 0151 724 4983 to book an interview.
