Liverpool U23s will hope to return to winning ways when they host Bristol City in the Premier League Cup at Chester on Sunday afternoon.

After last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Leicester City in Premier League 2, Neil Critchley's side are raring to go again and are aiming to start another unbeaten run.

The young Reds were held to a 1-1 draw away at Charlton Athletic in their opening game in the Premier League Cup, while Bristol City started their campaign with a 3-1 win over Stoke City.

After home and away clashes with each team in the group, the top two will progress to the knockout stage.

Where is the game being played? The tie is taking place at the Swansway Chester Stadium, home of Chester FC, with kick-off set for 1pm GMT.

"It was devastating to lose to a last-minute goal against Leicester City last weekend. We were disappointed with the two goals we conceded and we will try to make sure that doesn't happen again.

"Leicester were very tough to play against and it was a different type of challenge to the one we face on a regular basis, but we will take a lot from this game going forward.

"We can't wait for Sunday's game now and we'll try to bounce back to winning ways. We've done very well as a group so far this season and we are striving to do even more and keep working as hard as we possibly can."
