Rhian Brewster scored a wonderful free-kick as England sealed their place in the last 16 of the U17 World Cup with a 3-2 win over Mexico on Wednesday.

Liverpool forward Brewster, who played the full 90 minutes in Kolkata, put the Young Lions ahead shortly before the break - and he did so in some style, too.

The 17-year-old arced a quite brilliant 25-yard free-kick over the wall and into the top corner to give Steve Cooper's side the lead.

England's advantage was then extended by a classy strike from Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho's penalty, but Diego Lainez's quickfire double ensured they faced a nervy final 18 minutes.

However, the Young Lions held on to make it two victories from two Group F games and clinch their spot in the first knockout round with a match to spare.
