What a fantastic match! From Kick off Liverpool ruled the field. You may think I am biased as I am a Liverpool fan this true and even Manchester City fans will agree.
Steven Gerrard's performance in midfield really stood out. Who would have thought just a few weeks ago Stevie Gerrard was getting a lot of stick from Gerard Houllier for not playing to his best. The first half gave Liverpool many shots and Manchester City hardly touched the ball.
Two minutes into the second half and a hand ball by Foe gave Liverpool a penalty which Danny Murphy perfectly converted into a goal. Liverpool lost control of the game for about 10 minutes but defended well. The game was nearly finished in stoppage time when El-Hadji Diouf's volley just wide after he spotted Peter Schmeichel off his line. A brilliant performance by liverpool is it time that we turn our season around. A well deservered win for Liverpool. Well done boys!
