Minute by minute

Post And that’s all from our live coverage at Anfield today – we hope you enjoyed that highly dramatic match. We’ll be back next Saturday when the Reds take on Newcastle United away from home.
Post Meanwhile, our report from the boss’ post-match press conference will be available soon.
Post We’ve just interviewed Brendan Rodgers and Jordan Henderson – stay logged on to Liverpoolfc.com for the stories in the coming days.
Post Liverpool won 100 per cent of their 18 tackles.
Post Brendan Rodgers' side pumped 26 crosses into the Chelsea box, while the Blues delivered 12 centres.
Post Liverpool played a total of 499 passes, while Chelsea made 385. The Reds had a passing accuracy of 82 per cent.
Post The Reds saw 57 per cent of the ball and won 52.6 per cent of their duels.
Post Liverpool had 21 shots on goal this afternoon compared to Chelsea's 11. Of those, eight were on target.
Post Rafael Benitez: "It was an emotional return. I am pleased with the reception from the fans, but disappointed with the late goal we conceded."
Post Rodgers on Luis Suarez’s altercation with Branislav Ivanovic: “I can’t comment on it. I’ll go away and I’ll review it and then comment later. I’ll make an honest appraisal and comment on it when I've seen it.”
Post @neiljonesecho: "I'm off for a lie down" says @VoiceOfAnfield. I'm not surprised.
Post @Petermcdowall10: Over-riding emotion going home? Delight or worry that Suarez-agenda will kick in again - perhaps more fierce than ever?
Post Brendan Rodgers: "I said to the players at half-time we needed to be more aggressive in our game. In the second half we were outstanding and should have scored more than two goals."
96 FULL-TIME: Luis Suarez’s late goal rescues a point for Liverpool in a dramatic conclusion.
96 Yes they can! Sturridge delivers into the Chelsea area and there’s Suarez to nod beyond Cech and into the back of the net. 2-2!
96 GOAL! Luis Suarez:
94 Into the closing moments now, can the Reds find an equaliser?
93 Superb set-up under pressure by Suarez gives Henderson a glimpse of goal but it’s at an awkward angle and his side-footed shot is wide.
92 Shelvey unleashes from distance after being found from a short corner, but the midfielder’s effort sails over.
90 Six minutes of added time at Anfield.
89 Substitution: Frank Lampard for Juan Mata:
88 The Reds are trying to mount pressure and Daniel Agger supports the attack, leaping highest and heading at Cech. The ball travels wide.
84 Excellent chance for Shelvey, in acres of space on the left and found by Henderson. The midfielder could only strike into the side-netting, however.
82 Substitution: Victor Moses for Oscar:
81 First Booking: Jonjo Shelvey: Sliding tackle on Oscar.
79 Substitution: Jonjo Shelvey for Stewart Downing:
79 Jonjo Shelvey will be on shortly.
78 Substitution: Yossi Benayoun for Eden Hazard:
76 Downing glides in from the right looking for space to shoot. He’s possibly fouled and eventually strikes high and wide.
74 More good play from Suarez, who goes himself on this occasion. His left-footed effort is well struck but straight at Cech.
73 Suarez breaks forward on the counter but his ball out to Downing was too heavy and forced the winger too wide. Henderson tries to tee up Sturridge from the resulting cross but Chelsea clear.
68 The Uruguayan directed his effort low to the left but it was wide of the post.
67 Suarez over it...
66 Carragher fouled right on the edge of the Chelsea area and wants a penalty – the referee says free-kick. Still a very promising position.
61 First Booking: Jamie Carragher: Foul on Torres.
57 Chelsea are back in front as Eden Hazard beats Reina from 12 yards following a long delay.
57 GOAL! Eden Hazard:
56 First Booking: Luis Suarez:
55 Penalty to Chelsea - handball by Suarez.
54 First Booking: Lucas Leiva:
53 First Booking: Cesar Azpilicueta:
52 Well, what an impact. Sturridge has transformed Liverpool here and he connects with Suarez’s delicious centre to easily tap home beyond Cech.
52 GOAL! Daniel Sturridge:
50 @TonyBarretTimes: Sturridge certainly has a point to prove. To Chelsea, to Brendan Rodgers and probably to himself.
49 The Blues respond and it’s Torres who has the sight of goal. It’s a cross-shot and the hosts clear their lines.
47 Now Sturridge smacks the post with a sensational drive from fully 25 yards out. Desperately unfortunate there.
46 Sturridge races down the right, plays in Gerrard and the skipper’s sweeping effort is kicked away by Cech. The captain is then close to heading in a Downing cross. Lightning start from the Reds.
46 Second half begins.
46 Substitution: Daniel Sturridge for Philippe Coutinho:
46 Both side back on the pitch - Sturridge is definitely coming on. Looks like Coutinho off.
46 Good chance we'll see Daniel Sturridge in the second half. He has been out warming up.
46 @henrywinter: #lfc 0 #cfc 1 ht. Good header by Oscar but poor defending. Liverpool giving ball away too often. Suarez working hard but needs Sturridge
46 HALF-TIME: Chelsea go into the break 1-0 up.
45 Rapid break from the Reds and Henderson feeds Suarez, who looks for the near post in similar fashion to his goal against Spurs. Cech keeps it out.
42 @kennethdalglish: Liverpool will win.
41 Reflex save from Cech to deny Suarez after the No.7 reached a Downing pass and drilled goalwards. That needed a smart stop by the Chelsea ‘keeper.
37 First Booking: Fernando Torres: Foul on Jamie Carragher.
36 With play slowing, Lucas Leiva tries to quicken the tempo with a snap through ball aiming for Downing but it’s too heavy to marry with the winger’s run.
32 Coutinho tries to create space on the left inside the Chelsea box – his cross is deflected towards Suarez, who needed to be two inches taller to reach it.
29 Very nearly a mistake by Reina from the free-kick, which was blasted by David Luiz. The Spaniard fumbled the hit but recovered to keep it out.
28 First Booking: Jordan Henderson: For a push on Eden Hazard.
26 The Reds fall behind as Oscar connects with a header from a corner which Reina gets fingertips to but cannot prevent from nestling into the top corner. That hasn’t been coming.
26 GOAL! Oscar:
24 Another attempt from Brazilian attacker Oscar but it’s a long way out and the shot trickles well wide of Reina’s right post.
21 @iainmacintosh: Coutinho's feet are tiny. He looks like he's wearing ballet pumps. He passes like he's wearing ballet pumps. Delicate and beautiful.
20 First save for Reina to make as the away side work the ball across the area to Ramires, who has time to drive a strike towards the Kop goal. It’s powerful but the Liverpool ‘keeper beats it away to safety.
18 Chelsea clear the delivery but Stewart Downing is afforded freedom to pick his spot from the right edge of the box. The effort is no bother for Cech, though.
17 And he has just won the Reds a corner...
15 Jordan Henderson is playing in a very advanced midfield role here.
13 Some great dribbling skills on show from Eden Hazard, who hurdled a succession of challenges to work room for Chelsea. The move ends with a weak Oscar strike which is easy for Pepe Reina.
11 @carlmarkham: After enquiring about Chelsea's history the Kop now try out the Luis Garcia song. Anfield rolling back the years.
10 Cheeky lofted pass by Coutinho is aimed for Suarez but Petr Cech is quickly out of his goal to collect. Fernando Torres gets behind for the first time at the other end but is excellently marshalled with a sliding tackle from Jose Enrique.
8 Suarez has been very lively during the opening stages. This time he drops deep, carries the ball and attempts to release Henderson - just too much strength on the pass.
7 Steven Gerrard stands over a set-piece on the right and swings in towards Suarez – the Uruguayan’s header is blocked away and falls to Jordan Henderson at the edge of the area. The midfielder volleys well over.
5 Great atmosphere being generated by both sets of fans so far.
5 So close for Glen Johnson, who burst forward from the back and looked to latch onto Suarez’s pass in behind – but the England international’s poke towards goal rolled wide. Unlucky.
2 Good early opportunity for Luis Suarez to stretch his legs and run at the visiting defence but he passes up the chance to shoot and his ball towards Coutinho is blocked.
1 Philippe Coutinho almost connects with a diving header in the Chelsea area but the Brazilian couldn’t quite stretch far enough.
