Jürgen's verdict...

The boss has just completed his post-match press conference - and understandably, he's a very happy man tonight.

"It was very intense, very lively and very flexible. Our build-up was brilliant in the first half. Everybody could see what Chelsea wanted to do – they wanted to win the ball. But I was really happy with the style of play and the confidence."

Goal

GOAL! JORDAN HENDERSON!

Wow.

Liverpool are two goals in front now courtesy of an absolute screamer from Henderson.

Pouncing on a half-clearance 25 yards from goal, the captain controls, takes aim and curls right into the top corner.

Absolutely magnificent.

28

Get in, Dejan!

Liverpool threaten again as Milner's quickly-taken throw-in releases Sturridge down the left. He darts into the box, pulls off a couple of step-overs and drills agonisingly across the face of goal.

Goal

Goal! Dejan Lovren!

Liverpool are deservedly in front here at Stamford Bridge after dominating the early part of the game - and it's Dejan Lovren who has broken the deadlock.

A much more testing stop for Courtois this time as Sturridge strikes left-footed from the edge of the box. The goalkeeper manages to keep it out, however.
