The Liverpool Way

Liverpool Football Club is recognised around the world as one of a small elite group of clubs with a true worldwide reputation.
For the last 50 years the club has been at the forefront of British and European football, winning numerous championships and European club tournaments. During this time, there has been a consistent tradition of developing top class players, particularly from the Liverpool area. Currently Steven Gerrard, Martin Kelly and Jamie Carragher are examples of home grown talent who would rank in the very top echelon of players worldwide.
It’s the value of hard work and togetherness, the capacity to overcome difficulties and above all the principles of fair play and dignified behaviour both on and off the field; when we see players or coaches act in a certain way it is instantly recognisable a philosophy we call ‘The Liverpool Way’.
The football club will always be here and people will transfer through the club but that has to be a defining thing. Whilst the development of local players has been at the core of our philosophy we have always believed that we have a responsibility for the all round education of our young players as we prepare them for football but life after football a truly holistic approach.
To be a part of Liverpool Football Club is a great honour. Everyone should be aware of the traditions, standards and values that the club represents the responsibility that we all share to behave in a professional way that seeks improvement, excellence and success without sacrificing the values that we hold so dear.
This is ‘The Liverpool Way’.
