Liverpool's 10 biggest Champions League wins

Liverpool secured a place in the last 16 of the Champions League with an emphatic 7-0 thrashing of Spartak Moscow on Wednesday as they became only the second club to score seven twice in one season in the competition.

The scoreline matched the Reds' away win at Group E opponents NK Maribor in October as Jürgen Klopp's side equalled a landmark set by Bayern Munich in 2014-15.

But this term's magnificent seven-goal victories are not Liverpool's biggest ever in the Champions League.

Rafael Benitez's Reds set a new Champions League record in 2007 when a Yossi Benayoun hat-trick, braces from Peter Crouch and Ryan Babel and a goal from Steven Gerrard secured an 8-0 win over Besiktas at Anfield.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have since equalled the feat, beating Swedish club Malmo by the same scoreline in 2015.
